PoolPilot ("the app") is a local pool-control app. This policy explains what data the app does and does not handle.
No name, no email address, no phone number, no physical address, no account, no login, no ads, no location, no contacts, no pool controller IP address, and no photos or files. PoolPilot has no back-end server that we operate. Your pool never touches the internet through PoolPilot.
PoolPilot communicates only with your own Hayward OmniLogic pool controller over your local Wi-Fi network. Control and status messages travel directly between your phone and your controller. The controller's IP address, and every reading and command that flows between them, stay on your local network.
PoolPilot uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to help us keep the app healthy and prioritize improvements. These services collect:
None of this is linked to your name, email, address, or account, because PoolPilot has no account system. Google assigns an anonymous Firebase Installation ID; that ID cannot be traced back to you. Firebase data is retained per Google's defaults and is used only to keep PoolPilot working. You can reset the Firebase ID by clearing the app's storage or by disabling Personalization in your device's Google settings, and Crashlytics can be turned off by disabling Google Play Services diagnostic reporting.
The only information the app stores locally is the IP address of your pool controller, so you don't have to re-enter it. It never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app removes it.
PoolPilot requests only network access, used solely to reach your controller on your local network.
The app is a home utility and collects no data from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL.
